I beg the government to intervene. We're gonna crash the economy with no electricity!

I started producing electricity for just that reason. I price it for small companies to afford. They get bought really fast by the mega-companies. Sorry.

By the way, this is why utilities in the RW are usually heavily regulated. AS soon as they got deregulated, you saw executive pay and bonuses go through the roof, along with the cost of 'trons. And then the Enron fiasco.
Just sayin...

No need for the government to intervene.. If there is lack of electricity, this is an opportunity to do business... :)

I'm spinning up a 500m^2 well, powerplant, and mine in my aircraft company. Will start pumping some out shortly.

BallC you're my hero! (Said in Cameron's voice.)
First the product stats page and now a lone businessman coming to the rescue? It's players like you that really help me to enjoy this game. :-)

Alright, power plants are operational. Making 6M electricity an hour and the first batch will be up in 1 hour.

Unfortunately the recent spike in demand took me by surprise. Especially since Zap Juice Ltd specialised in electricity from the start and the initial low demand rather hobbled my growth. Still, I'm going to be expanding my operation as fast as possible now that there should be decent revenue.

The sudden spike in demand was probably partly Ball Mart Sports' 1750m2 of new factories :D

:) I bought about 3.5M electricity yesterday. Didn't think that was a huge dent in the market since I can generate that in an hour with a 500m^2 power plant.

Now there'll probably be too much power again and Sandford will be back to slow growth. :o

The problem now seems to soon be water and as my plantations/farms grow in size I'll only be needing more ;)

More filtered water competing on the market would be dandy too.

Well, I'm getting out of the power business. Looks like Zap is back online and he's focusing on it and I could use the capital elsewhere. :)

I listed my natural gas, water, and coal up on B2B as well as my electricity stocks. I'll have another batch of each right before cutover and then I'm planning on selling the buildings to avoid the 5% maintenance fee. I _think_ I broke even on the whole thing (had to make $2M in profit to offset the 10% building selling thing).

Lessons learned:

1) 500m^2 well produces way too much water for a 500m^2 mine

2) Shouldn't have built the mine and well. I could have bought cheap Q0 coal/natgas from B2B and ended up with the same per-unit cost for electricity ($0.05/unit) but I would have been able to produce twice as much (4 power plants instead of 2 + mine + well).

3) The price on electricity came down REAL quick once there was supply available.

As I earlier said there might be, there is now a lack of water on the market.

I've got a little 100m^2 well in my food court company pumping out water as it can and listing at $0.1. Not enough to really help though and most of my capital is tied up elsewhere a.t.m.

EDIT: Well is up to 300m^2 this morning and I have a batch of 15M water coming in 8 hours. Try to do what I can here. :P
