Garry Hurst RJ: jackosbournelookalike CO: jackosbournelookalike Post Rating: 0 + / - Total Posts: 151 Karma: 21 Joined: Jan 23, 2012	Posted on Jan 24, 2012 Ok I decided to start this thread to discuss the research and development buildings only, I have put together a few points and would like everyone's input. 1. you start with a q15 farm, but no research building, if you have to sell/restart you have to buy a research building, farm, and wait 40 minutes, for q1 with no ability to speed up research, then level 2 happens much faster. I propose that when you purchase a agricultural research facility either: A. you get 1 free technology, fruit only B. you get near instant q1 of all research, or at least fruit. C. you can speed up research for free like building if under level 5 for q1 only D. Purchase level 1-5 instantly for larger amounts of cash. 2. The idea of 1,000 initial cost, and 40 minutes time doesn't make alot of sense when the level 2 research is extremely cheap, and no time at all. A. maybe 25,000 for level one and 30 seconds, to 3 minutes B. maybe 100,000 for level one instant C. even 150k-300k for q1 instant D. if nothing else change it from q1-q15 to increase in time each level not so long for level one. 3. Has already been addressed elsewhere but future sell-able research. 4. if need be maybe make tiers within the research center, tier one simple fruits, tier 2 next more advanced, etc, etc..... Will certainly apply this later. Also the Q1 taking forever is to raise the bar for producing new goods (notice how you can't produce something without the Q1?) Yes... after the stores and the stock market, I will update the way research works - mainly FREE (as in $ and time and building) research based on "world averages"
Garry Hurst RJ: jackosbournelookalike CO: jackosbournelookalike Post Rating: -12 + / - Total Posts: 151 Karma: 21 Joined: Jan 23, 2012	Posted on Jan 25, 2012 Post hidden due to its low rating (click here to show post) yes i understand the reason you have done it, however when it comes to can't produce something without q1, every new factory requires, wayyyyyyyy too long to even be able to produce anything at all, I suggest you make each new factory able to produce something of q1 quality, either a players choice of the cheapest 4 items or your choice. option 2 make certain items very cheap to research q1, choose things so people who don't understand the entire game if they buy a plantation they can produce wheat, same value as apples, why not? think it would make the game more fluid for new players and help fill a larger variety of things on b2b so when a user decides to start as a retailer, they can have a larger choice, and say someone uses that first cool mil to buy a bakery, you could make the basic ingredients of q1 available to basic corresponding factories, otherwise someone would have to spend (rough estimate) 2 mil on research centers,factories,markets, just to produce/sell an apple pie. just a few thoughts ;~

Garry Hurst RJ: jackosbournelookalike CO: jackosbournelookalike Post Rating: -12 + / - Total Posts: 151 Karma: 21 Joined: Jan 23, 2012	Posted on Feb 1, 2012 Post hidden due to its low rating (click here to show post) another idea, 1k for fruits is great, for q1 cost, however I suggest major amounts for some items, say carbon fiber, high cost for initial research, similar to the way you did diamonds, with the way the economy is going right now everyone will be able to produce q1 everything in no time, so say maybe change it to where fruits, 1k plantation items 2-5k, increase on q1 according to factory/mine cost/power offset by potential income from items..... Just a few thoughts......
