Hi

First of all: i am very happy that capitalism-online.com is back again after the long downtime :-)

I have severe problems to login now.
No matter from which device i try, i get always a "too many redirections" error.

The redirects are interchangeably:
http://www.capitalism-online.com/eos/ 301
https://www.capitalism-online.com/eos/ 302
http://www.capitalism-online.com/eos/ 301
https://www.capitalism-online.com/eos/ 302
http://www.capitalism-online.com/eos/ 301
https://www.capitalism-online.com/eos/ 302
...... and so on until 20 times or so, then my browser gives up.

On https://www.capitalism-online.com there is the answer: 302 Found, redirecting to http://www.capitalism-online.com

And on http://www.capitalism-online.com there is the answer: 301 Moved permanently, go to https://www.capitalism-online.com

I am getting the following cookies:
co_id
co_rk
PHPSESSID
rj_eos_active

When i clear all cookies i will get them again with the same values on co_id and rj_eos_active=1

I hope, you can help.
Thanks very much
Chris

Thank you Chris for the details!

A long long time ago SSL used to be slow, so there were some old code that tries to forward the players from HTTPS to HTTP for the non-login-related pages to speed up loading times.

Then a year or two ago the browsers started to require SSL. So lately I figured it's time to stop the redirection and reversed the direction to go from HTTP to HTTPS... but I didn't catch all of them. So somehow both versions existed together, leading to infinite redirection loops.

Just fixed them today.

That was enough to get the main site working... but now the test site is returning a simple HTTP 500 error, with no additional information.

I'm not seeing that error anymore. Both sites are accessible now!
