Posted on Mar 1, 2012 (Last edited on Mar 20, 2012) As a new player you may be wondering what happens when you initiate an IPO. Well that's why I decided to post this information/guide to help you.1. You must be level 6 or higher you will need a net-worth greater then 30 mil. to achieve level 6. 2. Major changes: control, if you sell more then 50% of your company majority stockholder could fire you! 2. B. You will gain large amounts of money to grow your company. 2. C. No more direct cash transfer, your stake in the company is based on its stock price. 3. Think very carefully before you initiate the IPO it may be better for you to wait then to jump ahead. 4. Consider spreading the word first. use the forums/private messages ask people if they would like to invest, potentially with enough notice and a set time/date of initiating an IPO you could have instant success by going from $1 a share at launch to a huge increase of 1000% or even more by having people waiting to buy your stock at launch! 5. Be smart once you launch never sell more then 49% of your company, if someone sells off alot of shares, buy some back because the price will drop, if your price drops because of performance issues, buy some because when you remedy the issues the price will grow again! 6. This guide is not nearly complete but I hope it is enough to get you started and make you think! EDIT: Dividends: if you have 1,000,000 Shares and you set your dividend at .01 you will payout, $10,000.00 So here's a easy way to set the dividends: at $0.01 Shares: .............................. Dividends: 1,000,000 ............................... $10,000.00 10,000,000 ............................. $100,000.00 100,000,000 ........................... $1,000,000.00 1,000,000,000 ........................ $10,000,000.00 At $0.05: Shares: .............................. Dividends: 1,000,000 ............................ $50,000.00 10,000,000 .......................... $500,000.00 100,000,000 ........................ $5,000,000.00 1,000,000,000 ..................... $50,000,000.00 this is max payout at server reset, Hope this helps! Posted on Mar 17, 2012 (Last edited on Mar 17, 2012) be very careful about dividends, I will edit my post to include them now, best thing is to do the math, .01xtotal_num_shares=payout at server reset+ your taxes, ceo pay, chair bonus.....so you really have to be careful or you will go negative.in other words even a .01 cent dividend can kill you if there is no money at reset. |

Posted on Mar 18, 2012 Correction to Garry's post:For any shares not owned by players, you will still need to pay dividend. In other words, the company always pays the FULL AMOUNT of total dividend. Publicly available shares are considered to be owned by various NPC's, they need dividend too. |
