Isn't it supposed to benefit the company when outstanding shares are sold?

Only on an IPO. They don't raise any money during day-to-day sales unless they sell some shares.

In Cap Plus - Yes, but it prevents you from holding any stock that your company already owns, and the other way around.

In this game, maybe later (with above restriction), but definitely not now... that'd be too chaotic. :-P

No no, it is perfectly fine. Some companies exist just to trade stocks of other companies - no production, no sales, no research, not even b2b...

I just thought it'd be too chaotic to put it in at the moment, but I think it'll be a good feature to allow you to own a competitor's shares.

Sadly that's what happens:

Big Company Y - "Hey look, company X is doing real well!"

News - "Company X was acquired by Company Y..."

Of course it may not be a bad thing for company X. I mean, if someone offers to buy your stocks at 10x market price, would you sell the stocks to them and start another company?

depends on real world circumstances :P plus if you know in your heart and your projections your price will likely go above 10x, then no you might not sell :P but otherwise if it's uncertain definitely.

Edit: Speaking of projections!!!! what an AWESOME upgrade that would be! daily/weekly/monthly/yearly!!!!!!!

Any ETA on issuing more shares? It is the only way to raise money and make the stock market work for you. My EPS is like $3 which is pretty high.
